Privacy Policy

OrdoMarks is designed to work locally in your browser. We do not sell your data, run advertising trackers, or transmit your bookmark library to our servers.

Data accessed by the extension

OrdoMarks requests access to browser bookmarks so it can detect duplicate bookmarks and, where the user chooses, remove or restore bookmarks. The extension also uses browser extension storage for local settings, counters and recovery information.

Data collection and transmission

The current public release does not transmit bookmark URLs, bookmark titles, browsing history, settings, analytics identifiers or advertising data to the developer or to third parties.

Local storage

Settings, counters and recovery information are stored locally using the browser's extension storage system. Bookmark data remains in the browser's native bookmark system.

Accounts and payments

No account is required for OrdoMarks Free. Pro purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy on its hosted checkout. Lemon Squeezy processes the contact, billing and payment information you provide to complete your purchase. OrdoMarks does not receive your full card details.

To activate Pro, the extension sends your license key and a randomly generated installation label to Lemon Squeezy. Periodic validation and deactivation send the license key and activation instance ID. These requests also expose your IP address to the service. No bookmark URLs or titles are included.

The extension stores your license key, activation ID and last verification result locally. It does not store the customer name or email returned by the licensing service. The developer can access order and customer records in the Lemon Squeezy merchant dashboard to provide purchase support.

A successfully validated license is normally checked again after 24 hours of use. If the service cannot be reached, Pro can work offline for up to seven days after the last successful check. Deactivating this device removes its locally stored license after remote deactivation succeeds. Settings, bookmarks and cleanup recovery data are retained.
